Is Life Better in the Countryside or in the City

Introduction:
I did this assignment as my course work in this semester of my bachelors to showcase my written communication and expression. The requirement of the assignment was to do research about pros and cons of countryside and city life. The assignment targeted my written skills as it prompted me to communicate the advantages and disadvantages of both sides of the coin and support it with convincing facts in clear and understandable way. I researched the topic and discussed it with my peers to get primary research data, I also took help from internet and then supported my stance through evidence. This whole process involved oral and written communication at every stage.
Reflection:
This assignment helped me polish my communication skills, oral and written. I was able to gather data from peers by asking the right question and phrasing them in a way that they were able to answer them thoughtfully. Moreover, I learned how to systematically write my ideas down and how to support my argument. If I were to do this assignment again I will try to get in touch with some people living in the countryside to get primary data from them too. I could not do this now because of time constraint and lack of contact with someone from countryside. I would also recommend fellow students who attempt the same assignment that they should talk to elders as most of them have vast experience and can really tell the difference between the two lifestyles.

The Future of Tourism in Saudi Arabia

Introduction:
Last year I was assigned to do a research paper on the future of tourism in Saudi Arabia as my course work. The research had three main focus areas i.e. social and political outcome of tourism in Saudi Arabia, future of tourism in the region and its impact on Saudi Arabia as a whole. I decided to approach the research with a qualitative approach and interviews were conducted to gather data on the subject. I selected three knowledgeable and influential candidates relating to tourism for interviewing and discussed the topic with them at length.
Reflection:
This assignment was given to polish my oral and written communication skills and enhance how I shared my ideas through words. The methodology used for research was interview which helped me learn how to communicate despite the cultural and age differences. This assignment was very technical in nature that is a research paper thus I learned to write a literature review, how to conduct interviews and how to depict their results, how to share the methodology used for research. This assignment helped me to learn how to write a literature view and how to narrate people’s statements in my own work using referencing. If I will do this assignment again then I will try to use more articles in the literature review and students working on it are advised to use at least 10 articles in their literature review.
