1. Comparing Two Arguments:
   Introduction:
   In my critical thinking and problem solving course, I was given an assignment to compare two arguments. The arguments were on the topic that whether schools should promote uniform or ban it. There were essays on both, in favor and against the topic with supportive evidence and examples which provoked critical thinking and analysis. The essay in favor of the topic proved to be more valid as it prompted values like equality, discipline, ethical practice and prevented bullying. Whereas the essay against the topic proved to be weaker as it promoted difference among students, facilitated social difference and class system and could have promoted inferiority among students.
   Reflection:
   The comparison of both the arguments led me to examine both the situations closely and critically understand their implications with the support of evidence and facts mentioned in the essays. It enabled me logically approach the subject with an unbiased mind and reach a decisive conclusion with sound supporting arguments. The assignment helped me put my critical abilities to use and challenged me to detach my own opinions from effecting the conclusion of the argument. If I will do this assignment again then I will try to be more specific in giving support to arguments and students working on it are advised to first the given essays at least 2 times before analysis.
2. Space Exploration, Valuable or Waste of Resources
   Introduction:
   I was given this assignment, about space exploration and whether is it valuable or waste of resources, for critical analysis. I mentioned plenty of arguments in support of the topic i.e. the expense for space exploration is reasonable rather much needed as if develop new theories and collect knowledge about our ecosystem. This will benefit us in future according to NASA to enhance the living conditions on earth. The argument against the topic stated that NASA is spending money on space exploration which citizens paid as taxes to improve their own living conditions. This would affect their future generations but not them specifically whereas they would like their money spent on them.

Reflection:
The topic of this assignment was sensitive and demanded additional attention to detail. I reviewed all the points in favor and against spending money and resources on space exploration. The assignment helped me built my cognitive abilities and reasoning skills. I was able to critically study the arguments and derive an informed opinion on the topic. I learnt about gathering many arguments for and against the topic which were then evaluated and scrutinized to reach a conclusion. If I will do this assignment again then I will try to add more details with the authentic sources and students working on it are advised to use authentic and credible sources to support their arguments.
